“My name is Reitumetse Sebusi, and I am a twenty-two year old aspiring scientist in the field of palaeontology. I was born on 16 April 2002 in the Free State province. I was born and raised in Welkom, and come from a supportive, understanding and loving family. I am the middle child of three siblings, which are all daughters. I attended and completed high school in the year of 2020 at Welkom- Gimnasium.

I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, where my love for biology and science grew. In the later years of my undergraduate degree I was introduced to the field of palaeontology through an elective, that left me hungry for more! In 2024, I began my Honours degree in Palaeontology, with the aid of the PAST Grant Award. This is the start of my journey toward reaching my goal of becoming a palaeontologist.”
