Metasebia is an Ethiopian student passionate about learning and knowledge exchange. Though she worked in the public sector and had additional family responsibilities, she has made an immense effort to continue her education for nearly ten years. As a result of her passion and dedication, she joined the Natural Science, Medical, and Anthropology schools at Addis Ababa University. Her stay at the university was challenging, but she persevered and decided to apply for a highly competitive scholarship in France for a graduate degree. Her efforts were successful and she then went to Paris to study for her Master’s in September 2019, when she joined the National Museum of Natural History Paris, France (MNHN).

Currently, Metasebia is registered for the biological anthropology PhD program at Durham University, UK, under the supervision of Professor Sarah Elton and Dr Kris “Fire” Kovarovic, experts in primate evolution, morphometrics, and palaeoecology, with the additional support of Professor Leslea Hlusko from CENIEH.
