Hadgu  Zeru is lecturer at Aksum University under Archaeology and Heritage Management department, Institute of Archaeology and Tourism since 2016.

He has lead and participated in different community service projects in the areas of archaeological heritage preservation and public archaeology out reach programmes  in Tigray, northern Ethiopia.  His leadership contribution inludes from 2013-2014  and 2016-2017 worked  program leader of archaeology and heritage management, from 2018-2022 Institute; Research, community service and post graduate officer  under Institute of Archaeology and Tourim.  From 2023 to date working institute Quality assurance officer in same institution.
